When the country gained Independence from Britain in 1961, it became a Socialist country and farms were nationalized. The climate particularly around Arusha is ideal for horticulture. Visit an avocado farm that exports produce to Europe and the Middle East. Lunch with the farmer. Gibbs Farm (or similar) Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, travel into the Serengeti National Park on safari. The Seronera region, in the central Serengeti, is set directly on the Great Migration route. The migration happens July to October, but Seronera is still a wildlife hotspot at other times of the year, sheltering the “Big Five”, among many other species. February denotes the end of the calving season, one of the most spectacular scenes in the Serengeti, as animals bear their young. It is said that there are over 8,000 baby wildebeests born during that period. Picnic lunch. Continue to the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, set in a stunning part of the national park, where you will stay for three nights. Oftentimes, the wildlife can be viewed even from the tents! You have never experienced such luxury in a tent, each with en suite bathrooms, exceptional food and wines, a cozy lounge area and even internet access! Picnic lunch. Dinner at lodge. Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge (or similar) Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early departure on safari to catch the sunrise and the early morning animal activity. Entire day spent in the park with picnic lunch. The Serengeti turns green with the November rains and attracts the migrating animals, especially the 2 million wildebeest and their babies. The inexperienced newborns are often easy prey for the lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and wild dogs. It is an inexplicable experience to see the animals in their own habitat.
